Aily is a respected international energy figure with trusted relationships at the highest levels of industry and the city. 

With deep energy & financial market experience she uses her strong strategic vision to change in fast developing energy environments.  Her strong relationship/partnering skills and keen strategic focus also produce new risk mitigation products or business solutions.

Aily started her energy and banking career at the start of UK privatization and was promoted 7 times making key contributions to the commercial businesses of Scottish Hydro-Electric, Scottish Nuclear and South Western Electricity. 

As General Manager Commodities & Financial Markets for Energy Australia, she was nominated for Business Woman of the Year. 

Other previous roles have included both Head of Power & Utilities UK and Europe for The Royal Bank of Scotland and Executive Director UBS International Corporate Finance. She is a former Chairman of the Electricity Forward Agreement Association in the UK and is a licenced UK power trader.

  • Deep technical understanding of all aspects of energy trading, risk management and market operations globally.
  • PPA specialist.
  • Far reaching financial market experience through deal structuring/strategic partnerships and an extensive financial network.
  • Strong strategic focus and originator of “Energy Capabilities”, the 220 KPI risk and reward framework for the utility firm of the future.  
  • Excellent quantitative and risk management skills providing valuations of most forms of generation and storage (in the context of JV development for project delivery: the most recent partnership being Alevo).
  • Originator of the highly unique and proprietary heat and hydrogen optimisation valuation platform.
  • Former Chairman of the Electricity Forwards Agreement Association and the Secretary of State for Scotland’s Energy Leaders group.

Jeff Hearn joined Global Energy Advisory as Managing Director with responsibility for commercial operations and product / service innovation. As part of a leading FTSE 100 business Jeff previously led commercial training businesses with a turnover of £11.5m in multiple sectors including, Energy, Banking and Finance, Fintech, Security and Technology. Jeff has been responsible for many industry first learning programmes, including the first MBA in Shipping delivered 100% online and The Oil & Gas MBA and Project Finance MBA in partnership with Middlesex University (where he is a Visiting Fellow). Jeff has extensive experience working with executive and senior leadership teams at finance and energy organisations around the world, helping them to build training and learning solutions to address complex business issues.
